“The MK5 oral liquid medication fractionation machine allowed us to better adapt the dispensing process of most medications in liquid pharmaceutical form for oral/enteral use previously available in multi-dose vials. With the acquisition of this automated solution, the pharmacy service had a significant increase in productivity in the Unitary Dose Pharmacy, starting to produce sachets with fractionated volumes of fully traceable liquid medicines, with DataMatrix code, with safety alerts on their packaging, with signage for controlled medicines and those with reduced validity. It reduced losses due to sharing bottles and minimized the risk of adverse events due to the availability of these medications in care units. Sachet packaging is economical, practical, easy to use and easy to open.”
